“I get tears (of happiness!) when I think about the day Amaya was born! I had the absolute perfect birth. No drugs, a relatively short labor and most importantly, a healthy baby! I know a lot of that is because of Becky's help. She got to the hospital shortly after we did and was there for me every moment. I remember being really emotional at one point and needed to ask her to not touch me. I felt really bad but she was calm and cool about it. I feel she really understands how a woman feels while in labor. When I felt like I couldn't take anymore Becky was by my side saying "You can do it!" My husband liked Becky's calm approach. “One other thing that I vividly remember is from when I was in the tub. You and Justin were putting counter pressure on my sacrum, and I wanted Justin to move to the center of my back, or at least what felt like the center of my back! I was getting frustrated because the pressure wasn't where I wanted it, and I was starting to lose my rhythm, but then you reminded me that I could do it, to refocus on my breathing, and to not let the lack of counter pressure get in the way of my coping.
